After seeing videos of wedding mishaps, specifically the time when the bride and groom share a piece of wedding cake, I came to the thought that this moment between them can predict the success or failure of the relationship.

I wanted to have that moment between Val and Synthia. Trust is a large aspect of their relationship, as the power imbalance is massive. One is strong, the other is frail. One is flesh, the other is steel. As the scales are further shifted with each upgrade and limitation broken, it’s the trust that allows Val to find comfort within that strength.
